Last spring, Pro Korpo r.f. organised a move-in events in Korpo, where everyday life and life in the archipelago were presented. The event was attended by associations, entrepreneurs, city representatives, school and kindergarten staff - and of course many curious visitors. The atmosphere was warm and the community strong, and the event received very positive feedback.

As interest in living in Korpo remains high, the event is being organised again this year. The aim is to bring together people and organisations that can answer practical questions for those thinking of moving here: housing, job opportunities, services, schools, early childhood education and care and everyday life in the archipelago.

Four children are playing football on an outdoor pitch. One child is wearing a red "Ibrahimovic 11" shirt and chases the ball while the others try to block the goal.

Life in Korpo is peaceful, and the sea and nature are always close by. Everyday life is often more spacious and safer, but services, leisure activities and community are still within reach. Many people particularly appreciate the rhythm of nature, the seascapes and the active village community, where even new residents easily become part of the context. There is also a small bilingual school on the island, where children receive individual tuition and grow up naturally speaking both Finnish and Swedish.

A group of eight adults in matching blue shirts and a child pose and smile behind a table with leaflets and a cuddly toy in a bright room with orange curtains.

This year the event will take place on Saturday 2 May, But already the day before, “open doors” are organised where Korpo residents open their homes to visitors, and in the evening you can meet locals at Restaurant Hjalmar's for a “Pub Bingo”.

Come and familiarise yourself with the island, ask questions that are on your mind and meet local people - you might even find a new home.
